On October 20th, 2013 Most Reverend Alvaro Ramazzini, Bishop of Huehuetenango in Guatemala, visited Holy Cross Church, Indiantown, FL. He received a warm welcome from the Hispanic community. In Indiantown there is a huge population of Guatemalans especially from the state of Huehuetenango. Most Reverend Alvaro is known for getting involved with social justice issues especially protecting the rights of indigenous people. In honor of his visit to Indiantown, FL. He celebrated a mass on Friday. On Saturday he gave a conference in regards of his job in the Diocese of Huehuetenango, he also talked about the issues that Guatemala is facing at these moments, then he blessed the Stations of the Cross. On Sunday morning, he celebrated mass at 12PM. There was live marimba, the mass was multilingual (Spanish, Quiche, Kanjobal, and more).
